Alcotraz is no ordinary bar. Yes, it’s BYOB and set inside a highly realistic prison, but everyone you encounter inside is a highly trained actor, dedicated to giving you a night you’ll never forget.
As well as mixing up and serving delicious cocktails (and mocktails), they will be transporting you into the thrilling, exciting and immersive world that is Alcotraz Penitentiary. This isn’t your average night out – it’s an adventure where you and your hens take centre stage. Each visit unfolds slightly differently, with a constantly evolving storyline that evolves depending on the decisions you make and the paths you take.
Feeling bold? Impress the crooked guards and unlock hidden areas – maybe the Warden’s Office or the infamous Solitary Confinement Block. Will you join Inmate Cassidy’s daring escape plan, or tip off the Warden and topple their criminal empire? Fancy yourselves prison detectives? Work with the guards to unveil the prison’s secrets. Or maybe you just want to kick back and enjoy the atmosphere in your ultra-realistic jail cell.

Special Add-On
Make the experience extra memorable by assigning the hen the character of the Janitor and watch them play out an integral part of the immersive storyline. Whilst it may appear this individual draws the short straw, it may just be they have the key to help all the inmates escape once and for all.

FAQs
For processing and conviction, we recommend that you wear light clothing as you will be required to wear a standard-issue Alcotraz orange jumpsuit (provided) for the duration of your stay.
At checkout, you can add characters onto your booking, giving certain individuals an even more special experience. Why not transform the hen into the janitor for the evening?
Your experience will last 1 hour 45 minutes, and inmates will be provided with their own orange jumpsuit for the duration of their time behind bars.
Our standard-issue Alcotraz jumpsuits cater to all inmates, with sizes ranging from XS to 4XL. Please note that you are free to wear your jumpsuit as you wish to make it more comfortable, such as tying the arms around your waist.
The inmates you come across behind bars are highly skilled mixologists, and they work best with smuggled spirits. But, if you prefer wine or beer, this can also be served to you… If you can get it past the Warden.
Alcotraz operates a closed bottle policy, meaning we will not accept any bottles previously opened. Please only bring new, unopened and sealed bottles.
Inmates get approximately 4 personalised cocktails delivered by our expert mixologists, using the liquor you smuggle in with you. All liqueurs, bitters, syrups and other ingredients that go into making your cocktails are included in the ticket price, so all you need to bring is the liquor of your choice.
Our Cardiff Cell Block is fully wheelchair accessible. If you or a member of your party is attending with a wheelchair user, please contact us after your booking with your booking number.
