A date with a difference
Alcotraz in Cardiff gives you something completely different. You can skip the small talk of first dates and create amazing unique memories (even if you’ve been together for years). Once you arrive, you will be issued your mission for the evening: smuggle your liquor of choice past the Warden, with the help of the crooked guards, and into the hands of our “serving” mixologists. Spend the evening in your highly realistic jail, and get ready to be entertained.
Perfect for non-drinkers
Not everyone’s a drinker, and we get that. You can smuggle contraband spirits into your cell, but if you prefer to stay teetotal, our mixologists will craft you delicious mocktails – for no extra charge. And you’ll still be in for one incredible evening; from the moment you enter the Penitentiary, you’ll become immersed in the Alcotraz storyline. Everyone here is a trained actor, whose job it is to entertain you, whether you choose to remain in your cell or plot against the Warden. It’s our world, but entirely your storyline.
Special Add-On
Make the experience extra memorable by surprising your date by assigning them the character of the Janitor, and watch them play out an integral part of the immersive storyline. Whilst it may appear this individual draws the short straw, it may just be they have the key to help all the inmates escape once and for all.

FAQs
For processing and conviction, we recommend that you wear light clothing as you will be required to wear a standard-issue Alcotraz orange jumpsuit (provided) for the duration of your stay.
Your experience will last 1 hour 45 minutes, and inmates will be provided with their own orange jumpsuit for the duration of their time behind bars.
Our standard-issue Alcotraz jumpsuits cater to all inmates, with sizes ranging from XS to 4XL. Please note that you are free to wear your jumpsuit as you wish to make it more comfortable, such as tying the arms around your waist.
If attending as a couple we will do our best to ensure that you are kept separate from others but on occasion this is not always possible and there is a chance that you may end up within the same cell as another couple or small group.

The inmates you come across behind bars are highly skilled mixologists, and they work best with smuggled spirits. But, if you prefer wine or beer, this can also be served to you… If you can get it past the Warden.
We recommend 1 x 35cl of base spirit per couple.
If drinking isn't your thing, don't worry. The Alcotraz experience is exactly the same for non-drinkers as a huge part of your time behind bars is the immersive storyline that unfolds around you where you can interact with the storylines and the actors. For those not drinking liquor, there is no need to smuggle anything in and instead, you will receive x 4 expertly crafted mocktails included within the ticket price!
