The Janitor
Perfect for those looking to stitch up one of their gang. Includes your own costume pieces during the show. The Warden has made the external janitorial team redundant and has off-loaded the task to the inmates. Whilst it may appear this individual draws the short straw, it may just be they have the key to help all the inmates escape once and for all.
The Mole
Perfect for those looking to get a little more out of their immersive experience. Includes your own unique storyline path. Your identity will help build some relationships and destroy others, so choose wisely who to reveal this to. Remember, keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
The escape artist
Perfect for those looking to get a little more out of their immersive experience. Includes your own costume piece used throughout the show. Having successfully broken out of their last three Penitentiaries the Warden will be keeping a watchful eye on this person but there may also be some inmates who are interested in their particular set of skills.
Once you’re all checked in for your scandalous night in the clink, the bootlegging gang on the inside will give you and your fellow hens a mission; smuggle in your favourite liquor and hand it over to our mixologists to craft your cocktails for the evening. Get all dressed to impress in your brand new orange jumpsuit, and step this way – your hen do just got criminal.
At our hen dos in Bristol, we’re all about delivering a great night for everyone involved. Almost everyone you encounter within Alcotraz is a highly trained actor. They’re not just here to show you to your cell and mix your cocktails (or mocktails), they will also transport you into the exciting and thrilling world that is Alcotraz Penitentiary.
Guests who manage to win the favour of the crooked guards will gain access to explore secret areas, such as the Solitary Confinement Block or the Warden’s Office. Will you help Inmate Cassidy hatch the perfect escape plan, or will you provide intel to the Warden that could see the criminal empire crumble? Perhaps you’ll work with the guards to uncover the secret happenings inside the prison, or perhaps you’d just like to soak up the atmosphere inside your incredibly realistic jail cell…
There’s something for every personality, and we guarantee a night the bride-to-be will never forget. Every visit to Alcotraz is completely unique, and you and your gang will become the main characters in an ever-changing storyline.
What do I wear to Alcotraz?
For processing and conviction, we recommend that you wear light clothing as you will be required to wear a standard-issue Alcotraz orange jumpsuit (provided) for the duration of your stay.
Do you offer anything special for the Hen?
At checkout, you can add characters onto your booking, giving certain individuals an even more special experience. Why not transform the hen into the janitor for the evening?
How long will I spend at Alcotraz Bristol?
Your experience will last 1 hour 45 minutes, and inmates will be provided with their own orange jumpsuit for the duration of their time behind bars.
What size jumpsuits do you provide?
Our standard-issue Alcotraz jumpsuits cater to all inmates, with sizes ranging from XS to 4XL. Please note that you are free to wear your jumpsuit as you wish to make it more comfortable, such as tying the arms around your waist.
What alcohol can I bring with me?
The inmates you come across behind bars are highly skilled mixologists, and they work best with smuggled spirits. But, if you prefer wine or beer, this can also be served to you… If you can get it past the Warden.
Can I bring opened bottles of alcohol?
Alcotraz operates a closed bottle policy, meaning we will not accept any bottles previously opened. Please only bring new, unopened and sealed bottles.
How many drinks are included?
Inmates get approximately 4 personalised cocktails delivered by our expert mixologists, using the liquor you smuggle in with you. All liqueurs, bitters, syrups and other ingredients that go into making your cocktails are included in the ticket price, so all you need to bring is the liquor of your choice.
Do I need to get involved if I don't want to?
Alcotraz is an immersive experience where guests get absorbed into a storyline that is brought to life around them through characters including the Warden, the Guards and inmate Cassidy – all played by actors.
Those that really want to get involved will soon be trying out their American accent and telling the Warden what they are in for!
Those that would prefer to sit back and enjoy are welcome to do that too, whilst enjoying personalised cocktails in this unique and fun world.
Is it scary?
Alcotraz may be an immersive experience, but is not scary. We have actors working inside the prison who help bring to life a fun, lighthearted experience for guests. However, if at any time guests do not act respectful and polite towards actors and the venue then they run the risk of their experience being cut short.
What if I/someone in my group doesn’t drink alcohol?
If drinking isn’t your thing, don’t worry. The Alcotraz experience is exactly the same for non-drinkers as a huge part of your time behind bars is the immersive storyline that unfolds around you where you can interact with the storylines and the actors. For those not drinking liquor, there is no need to smuggle anything in and instead, you will receive x 4 expertly crafted mocktails included within the ticket price!
Is Alcotraz Bristol wheelchair-accessible?
Our Bristol Cell Block is fully wheelchair accessible. If your party is attending with a wheelchair user, please contact us after your booking with your booking number.
I'm a group of 8 or more, can I reserve tickets before I buy or pay a deposit?
In some cases, we allow reservations of Alcotraz tickets in order to give you time to collect the money from your fellow fugitives – so you can pay for all in one transaction.
We can offer the above if your group size is 8 or more and your event date is 2 or more months away.
Your payment date will be set as the 3rd of next month (after pay day) and if not paid by this date, the link will then expire. We may not be able to issue you a new link if there are not enough tickets left after this or your event date is too close.

Do you offer payment plans or split payments?
Currently, we do offer Klarna as a payment option for splitting or spreading payments when booking for London, Liverpool or Bristol and when your order is £350 or more (8 or more Rookie Tickets).
At this time, this option is not available for Brighton, Cardiff or Manchester.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Unfortunately we are unable to refund or cancel bookings, however, it is possible to move your booking to another day if we are given appropriate notice depending on your group size. If your group is 5 or less, please provide 48 hours notice prior to your visit. If your group is 6 or more, please provide 96 hours notice prior to your visit. Any purchases made individually will be treated as part of the wider group that they were looking to attend with. If you happen to make your booking within this time period then unfortunately an exchange is not possible. If the appropriate notice applies to your group size then please email thewarden@alcotraz.co.uk to complete an exchange.
